Florence Scovel Schinn

From humble beginnings Florence started out as an artist and illustrator. Drawings soon turned into writing and that’s how Florence’s spiritual connection blossomed.

“All that you desire or require is already on your pathway, but you must be wide-awake to your good to bring it into manifestation”

Oprah’s success allowed her to reach multiple audiences and really connect with other humans. She bases her spiritual practices off living day by day and being grateful for the little things. She says that need you need to pay attention to every breath and be thankful and glad that you are still on earth living the life you are living.

She needs to be fully present and connected as she believes that if you don’t think like this you will inevitably miss the experience of being on this planet.

“This is why I wanted to create a network”, Oprah says. “It was my way of saying, ‘We are one, we are connected’.

Caroline Myss

A huge part of what Caroline teaches is that the power of forgiveness is what can bring you enlightenment and draw you in touch with your spiritual being. She suggests that you need to find what you believe is unforgivable and rid yourself of all negative connotations with the act.

“The act of forgiveness is the act of returning to present time. And that’s why when one has become a forgiving person, and has managed to let go of the past, what they’ve really done is they’ve shifted their relationship with time.”

Tenzin is well known for her beliefs on compassion and the world.

She teaches that many can easily mistake the idea of love for attachment. Instead real love is when you want your significant other to be happy. Nurturing and allowing things to flow. The tighter you hold onto someone the more you will suffer. Care is not in the grasp, its in the freedom that you offer in a relationship.

“We have the idea that if we like something we should hold onto it very tight and that this shows we’re caring people… We think the more we grasp and cling shows how much we care, but that’s the ego, which is insecure and wants to own… We need to learn how to love”

Amma ‘The Hugging Saint’

Teaching a religion of ‘love’ Mata Amritanandamayi, otherwise known as Amma, practices her spiritual connectedness through the act of hugging. To many it can look like the most ordinary of acts but in reality this is the way that Amma practices her spirituality.

Amma signifies the word mother in many languages and is a close derivative in some. She really is like a mother and puts the needs of others before herself, on some occasions only getting two hours of sleep in a night. For Mata, love is the key to all.

“Love is our true essence. Love has no limitations of caste, religion, race, or nationality. We are all beads strung together on the same thread of love. To awaken this unity-and to spread to others the love that is our inherent nature-is the true goal of human life.”
